Conventional solar blankets or the two-colored blankets reduce or reflect a portion of the sun's rays. The Yard Guard Clear Choice solar blanket magnifies and radiates more of the sun's rays into the pool water increasing the water temperature. 

All of our Canadian made solar blankets are clear.

Common misconception, solar blankets, do not heat the pool they retain heat when the temperature drops over night on on cool days.  Solar blankets should be at least partially removed each day to allow the pool to breath and minimized the possibility of liner fade at the water line.
